Petaluma Historic Advocates Files Lawsuit To Block Appellation Petaluma

A group of Petaluma residents is filing a lawsuit to block the construction of celebrity chef Charlie Palmer’s proposed hotel.

The lawsuit was filed by the citizens’ group Petaluma Historic Advocates. The suit claims the city ordinance allowing the hotel’s construction is not only illegal but would cause “substantial and irreversible harm to the city and its residents.” Palmer wants to turn an empty lot at B Street and Petaluma Boulevard into a luxury hotel called Appellation Petaluma.

Petaluma Historic Advocates has been outspoken against the project for several months.
