SRPD Investigating Two Saturday Night Shootings

Santa Rosa Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred just an hour apart this past Saturday night, marking a total of four shootings in the city so far this year.

The first incident began around 7:30 p.m. on Apple Valley Lane. Officers later arrested 29-year-old Adrian Hernandez-Camacho near Aston Avenue after a victim reported that Hernandez-Camacho had fired a gun near him earlier that evening. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on weapons and drug charges.

One hour later, at 8:30 p.m., a more chaotic scene unfolded on Sebastopol Road. Witnesses described a coordinated effort by four vehicles to box in a transport van. Several suspects reportedly tried to force their way into the van before the driver managed to maneuver away. As the van fled, a suspect fired three rounds. No victims or suspects from that incident have been located.

The SRPD says these violent incidents are a top priority. In light of rising gun violence, the department noted that officers seized over 320 illegal firearms in 2025. Anyone with information or video of the Sebastopol Road encounter is urged to call the SRPD non-emergency line.
