New Report Shows California Losing Jobs For Fourth Straight Month

California’s job losses continue for a fourth consecutive month.

September data shows the state lost a net 45-hundred jobs, with the unemployment rate rising a tenth of a percent to five-point-six-percent, the highest in the nation. The national unemployment rate for September was four-point-four-percent.

Officials note the release of unemployment data is delayed by several months due to the historic 43-day federal government shutdown.
