Cloverdale Man Charged With Felony Following Homophobic Attack At Pride Bowling League

Rohnert Park Police have arrested a Cloverdale man after he allegedly directed homophobic slurs at members of the Sonoma County Pride Bowling League.

According to the Press Democrat, the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office has filed a felony charge of violating another person’s civil rights against 64-year-old Vincent Charles Belfiore. He also faces a misdemeanor battery charge.

Police say the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on October 14th at Double Decker Lanes on Golf Course Drive. After allegedly shouting slurs and being asked to leave, Belfiore is accused of punching a league member before driving away.

Belfiore has since posted bail and is scheduled to enter a plea in Superior Court on November 18th.
