An investigation is underway after a man is found dead near the edge of a residential area south of the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.
Police say the body was discovered just before 6:30 a.m. Friday in a bicycle lane along the east side of Brookwood Avenue. Santa Rosa police are investigating the death as a homicide. The man’s identity and exact cause of death are still being determined.
No arrests have been made, and a weapon has not been recovered. Police are asking witnesses and anyone with surveillance footage to come forward.
