The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office briefly issued a shelter-in-place Wednesday afternoon.
Residents on Vinecrest Road were told to stay indoors while deputies searched for a 43-year-old man described as armed and dangerous. The alert was lifted less than an hour later after the suspect was taken into custody.
Authorities have not released details on why the man was wanted, though neighbors reported a heavy law enforcement presence.
