The Sonoma Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees is holding a special meeting today at 4 p.m. to discuss a possible elementary school closure.
According to the Sonoma Index-Tribune, the board is expected to review data and may vote on a resolution to close a school at the end of the current academic year. While Prestwood Elementary has been mentioned, a final decision has not been made. The district is facing financial issues and a significant drop in enrollment.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Sonoma City Chambers.
