The SRPD is celebrating the graduation of 27 local teens from its 2025 Youth Community Police Experience, or YCPE, program.
This four-day immersive program gave young people aged 14 to 18 a unique, behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement. Participants got hands-on experience with everything from patrol procedures and investigations to defensive tactics and even emergency vehicle operations.
Led by experienced SRPD officers, the program aims to build trust and understanding between our youth and local law enforcement.
