The Boys and Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin is asking for the public’s financial help.
The organization’s COO, Michelle Heery, says it was affected by federal spending cuts ordered by the Department of Government Efficiency. Heery says the organization is already feeling strain from the cuts and needs the public’s help to keep offering services to kids. The Boys and Girls Clubs will lose thousands of dollars in arts programming funding due to cuts to a federal arts grant.
The funding will not be renewed after September 30th.
