Police Chase from Santa Rosa to Petaluma Ends in the Petaluma River

A man wanted on a felony warrant leads deputies on a chase, ending in a lengthy standoff. On Tuesday just before noon, a deputy on patrol saw the SUV of a man wanted for domestic violence, false imprisonment, terrorist threats, and resisting arrest. The deputy tried to pull the suspect over but he refused, leading to a chase on Highway 101 going south. The chase ended up in downtown Petaluma, during which the suspect, 42-year-old Brandon Wallace, pointed a gun at deputies. Wallace ended up crashing his SUV into the Petaluma River and caused a nearly two hour standoff before being arrested. The gun in the SUV was later found to be a BB gun.
