A 45-year-old pedestrian died after getting hit by a car in the Larkfield-Wikiup area. On Friday night, the man was pushing a shopping cart north on Old Redwood Highway when a car driving north of Donna Drive hit him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old driver stopped after the crash. CHP determined that it wasn’t a well lit area and that the man wasn’t wearing lights or reflective gear. The driver was not under the influence, was not speeding nor distracted or looking at his phone as he was driving.
